The General Assembly of the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) has just elected Marseille as the host City of its 27th Congress and 89th Annual Meeting in 2021.
This successful application, led by the French Committee on Dams and Reservoirs and MCO Congrès, is the result of an efficient collaboration between all stakeholders promoting the destination : Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Atout France, Region PACA, Regional Tourism Committee, Provence Côte d’Azur Events, City of Marseille, Marseille Convention Bureau and Tourism Office, Marseille Water Company, SAFIM and Marseille Chanot Convention Centre.
Being elected as a destination of this congress, Marseille is elevated to the rank of international capitals for hosting international congresses (Prague 2017, Vienna 2018, Ottawa 2019, New Dehli 2020).
Further to a call for bids, MCO Congrès has been appointed as the congress organiser of this event. The Marseille agency is proud to provide its professional services and know-how to warmly welcome all the representatives of the national committees on large dams.
