The Spring Days of the AFCP will be held from 11 to 13 May 2023 at the Palais des Congrès in Strasbourg.

As a headliner, we propose a maxi Battle on ankle ligamentoplasty.

The subject is vast as there are so many surgical techniques currently practiced. We have focused on three of them. Three experts will discuss their ligamentoplasty techniques (frondiform, hemi-Castaing and anatomical reconstruction under arthroscopy).

The forefoot will not be left out with a session on cuneo-metatarsal instability of the first ray, a focus on interphalangeal implants in the management of toe deformities and a round table on the failures and complications of forefoot surgery.

Three practical sessions: how to manage a bi-malleolar fracture? The hollow foot: what to operate and when should I do DMMO will complete the programme.

As every year, we look forward to your participation in the special presentations, the tips and tricks session and the video session, as well as a session of clinical files from the France chirurgie du pied Facebook page.

Like our city of Strasbourg, which is geographically and literally at the crossroads (Strasse in Alsatian means road), the theme of this congress will be openness:

  • to foreign societies, Belgium being our guest this year,
  • to other learned societies such as MIFAS, which will be in charge of the session on DMMOs,
  • to themes that are often neglected, such as traumatology or the complications of our surgical procedures,
  • and above all to the young people with the classic session of the AFCP Youth Bureau and the introduction for the first time of financial support for interns at the congress.
